about us
Nestled amidst the picturesque Tarlo River National Park in the Southern Tablelands of NSW
Named Eagle View Truffles due to the prominence of the magical wedge-tailed eagles that soar above us almost daily and the scenic views of our farm high on top of a mountain nestled across from the great dividing range of the Tarlo River National Park, our farm produces the black truffle (Tuber melanosporum) with the help of our team of working truffle dogs (Kel, Indy and two of Indy’s puppies Nyla and Oreo).
Our first planting in 2015 of 290 oak trees with a mix of Quercus ilex (an evergreen Holly oak tree) and Quercus robur (a deciduous English oak tree) was followed up the following year with a further 670 oak trees totalling 960 trees across two paddocks.
In 2019, just four years after planting our first oak trees we harvested our first truffles. Since our first harvest in 2019 production has steadily increased over time as our truffière matures.
